Old Fort, North Carolina, is a small mountain town filled with hardworking, resilient people who have endured more than their fair share of challenges. After Hurricane Helene swept through, it left devastation in its wake—homes were destroyed, businesses were lost, and the heart of the town was shaken.
But even in the face of overwhelming loss, the people of Old Fort came together, rebuilding and supporting one another with a strength that inspires us all. This holiday season, we want to give back to this incredible community and bring them something they truly deserve: a Christmas filled with joy, laughter, and hope.
Our Mission
This year, Breaking and Entering Christmas is bigger than ever. With your help, we’ll transform Old Fort into a holiday wonderland and give its residents a Christmas they’ll never forget. Here’s what your donation will make possible:
Lighting Up Main Street and the Town Tree: We’ll turn Old Fort into a glowing winter wonderland with Christmas lights and garlands, including a beautifully lit town tree, all thanks to the generosity of Lowe’s.
A Portable Ice-Skating Rink: Your support will help us bring the magic of skating to the heart of town, giving kids and families a joyful experience unlike any other.
A Warm Christmas Dinner: Partnering with Hungry Heroes, a nonprofit that honors and serves first responders, military, and veterans, to provide a warm and delicious Christmas dinner to the entire community.
Gifts for Every Child: Every child in Old Fort will leave with a special stuffed animal to call their own—a simple but meaningful reminder of love and comfort.
A Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony: We’ll end the day with a celebration that brings everyone together in unity and holiday cheer.
